Set your own voice command in the app, then use it to trigger a fun, hands-free unlock experience on your custom lock screen. You can also add wallpapers, a clock, AI quotes and voice notes.
No — the voice unlock in VoxLock is a fun, customizable lock-screen experience, not a security feature. Always keep a PIN, pattern or password as your reliable backup lock to protect your device.
Yes, but only while you set or use the voice command and while you record voice notes. The app does not listen in the background or record without your action. You can revoke the microphone permission any time in Android settings.
You can record quick voice notes as a private diary on your device. If you use the summary feature, the note's audio or text may be sent to a third-party AI service to generate a tidy summary, then returned to your device. Avoid recording sensitive information you don't want processed this way.
No account is needed. You can start using it right away, and your settings stay on your device.
The app is free and supported by ads. There are currently no in-app purchases or subscriptions, so there's nothing to cancel or restore. If paid features are added later, the price will be shown before you buy.
If a consent prompt appeared when you first opened the app, you can decline personalized ads there. You can also reset or opt out of your Advertising ID in Android via Settings → Privacy → Ads. Clearing app data lets the prompt appear again.
Delete your voice notes in the app, then clear the app's storage (Settings → Apps → VoxLock → Storage → Clear data) or uninstall the app to remove your voice command, notes and settings. To request deletion of any data held by us or our partners, email us and we'll respond within 30 days.
Send us a message and we'll get back to you within 1–2 business days.
